Things That Make Me Happy # 9

Strolling around the Internet one day, I came across a blog post entitled "100 Things That Make Me Happy".  What a great idea, I thought as I scanned the list, so Fridays are now dedicated to things that make me happy!

# 9  The Musings of a 6 Year Old (almost 7)

Aidan is definitely the thinker of our brood, but sometimes, I really have to wonder and laugh at the thoughts and questions that come out of his mouth. Here is a small sampling of his thoughts this week.

While eating supper, Aidan suddenly turns to me and says:
"Mama, if we want to go to Russia next week, we need to leave right now!"
This lead to a whole conversation about modes of transportation and the route we would have to take -- an interesting conversation in itself. We never picked a mode of transportation or a route, so guess that we are going to miss whatever we were going to Russia for. Oh well, maybe next time.


Owen: Is there water hiding under the dirt for real?
Mama: Yes (insert brilliant explanation here)
Aidan: If you dig deep enough, you might find a water pipe!


Aidan: Are reindeer nocturnal?
Mama: No, I don't think so.
Aidan: Then how do they see where they are going while they are pulling Santa's sleigh?
This started an interesting discussion about possible lighting devices for flying reindeer, none of which included glowing noses -- interesting.
